About us
Project Light House was founded by three individuals who have each faced incarceration and successfully navigated the challenges of re-entering the community. They know firsthand that the journey can be difficult—but they also know that your past does not define your future.
Our founders created Project Light House to extend a helping hand to others walking the same path. Through compassion, guidance, and practical support, we help individuals access the resources, opportunities, and encouragement they need to rebuild their lives. Our commitment goes beyond services and resources—it’s rooted in empathy and lived experience. Our founders have personally faced the challenges of returning to society after incarceration, and they understand the emotional and practical hurdles that come with re-entry.
Re-entering the community can be overwhelming. Every day presents new obstacles: finding safe housing, securing employment, accessing healthcare, reconnecting with family, and navigating legal obligations. On top of that, many face judgment and stigma because of their past. These barriers can feel isolating and discouraging—but at Project Light House, you are never alone.
We know what it feels like to be underestimated, misunderstood, or treated unfairly because of a previous mistake. That understanding shapes everything we do. Our team meets each individual with compassion, patience, and respect, creating a safe space where they can rebuild their lives without fear of judgment.
Our services are designed not just to provide practical support but to restore dignity, hope, and self-worth. By walking alongside individuals, celebrating their progress, and encouraging their growth, we help them see that their past does not define them—and that they are capable of creating a bright, empowered future.
At Project Light House, every hand extended, every resource provided, and every word of encouragement comes from a place of genuine understanding. We are here because we have been there, and we believe in the potential and humanity of every person we serve.
